This is the wine I have been looking for ages! I found it yesterday at Italian food fair. I had this wine first time at one of my favorite Italian restaurant in Tokyo.
It is very strange that since I moved to Singapore, I drink more white wine because of the weather. I used to drink more red in Tokyo especially from Autumn to Winter.
When I had this wine last night, I went back to the restaurant in my mind immediately. It is very easy to get Australia, New Zealand wines and they are fantastic here in Singapore! But I missed this red and felt very nostalgic.
I should have cooked Italian dinner, but my menu was already decided then I found this bottle so I cooked Japanese food as I planned. Still very matching:)
Chicken and eggs with garlic, leek, ginger
Japanese mustard spinach(Komatsuna) and Aburaage(Deep fried tofu)
Lotus roots tempura
Daikon(Japanese Radish) asazuke

Wild Honey
There are more places to have breakfast or brunch in Singapore these days.
I go quite often to Wild Honey to have breakfast. It's in Mandarin Gallery and 2nd shop was opened in Scotts Square and it's more spacious and bright so I go there. It's nice atmosphere so you better book a table.
My favorite breakfast is Tunisian. It is a big portion, but good.

ToriSoboroDon (Minced Chicken Bowl)
Torisoboro is very popular in Japan and usually eat with rice called Donburi. There are many "don" like "Tendon(Tempura)""Katsudon(Pork Cutlet)""Gyudon(Beef bowl)" etc. Torisoboro is made by minced chicken with soy sauce, mirin, sugar and water. It's very easy to make and I serve like this photo.
Only one thing you must be careful is that minced chicken goes bad very quickly so you can purchase and use it same day. It must be fresh one.

Alphonso Mango
Alphonso Mango is from a region, western India. It is so creamy and very rich taste. It is also one of the most expensive kinds of mango. It is now in season (April-May) and very hard to get it even here.
Our friend went to a business trip to India and he brought a lot of Alphonso. I had it with yogurt this morning. So yummy!

Tempura
Tempura is not so difficult to make at home. However, if you want really really good tempura, I suggest you to go to a real Japanese tempura restaurant.
My favourite Tempura restaurant in Singapore is "Tenshin". My husband and I love this restaurant because of the taste(of course), atmosphere, and good service. We started to go there about 5 years ago and nothing has changed, taste, chefs, servers, everything, everyone is the same as usual. It makes you so comfortable. We don't have table seats, always counter so chef make tempura in front of you and you can eat right away.
I went there last night and it was fantastic as always! I enjoyed the food so much so I didn't take any photos.
If you are in Singapore, you can't miss this restaurant.
I also found a nice champagne/sake the other day. It is a bit sweet, but great for aperitif.

This is a tiny vase from Kyoto. Actually this is for incense stand. However, you can use as a vase like this. Any small flowers can be there even Singapore flower, orchid, then atmosphere will change to more Japanese way.
